Current-conducting polypyrrole-polyimide composite was synthesized by oxidative electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole in polyimide matrix. Depending on the prevalence of either axial or tangential component of pyrrole nucleous growth, various types of composite films were studied; the electrical conductivity of those films increased with the content of the conducting polymer. The stability of the electrical properties of the composite kept in air, and also its thermal stability are higher than those of the pure polypyrrole.
